What do these names mean?
- Vinyasa
- Flowing yoga that links movement with the breath.
- Hatha
- A broad, usually steadier yoga style that gives each pose more time.
- Yin
- Slow, mostly floor-based poses held for longer periods.
- Ashtanga
- A strong, structured sequence practised in a set order.
- Aerial Yoga
- Yoga practised with a suspended fabric hammock that supports movement, floating and rest.
- Kundalini
- Movement, breathing, sound and meditation combined in set practices.
- Yoga Nidra
- A guided, lying-down rest practice, sometimes called yogic sleep.
- Qigong
- Gentle repeated movement, breathing and attention from Chinese traditions.
